Why Donation Quality Matters
Our customers trust the Thrift Shop to provide clean, gently used clothing and safe, functional household goods.
Our Thrift Shop Manager and volunteers sort and prepare donated items for sale. Items that cannot be sold must be disposed of, which creates an expense for the Family Center.
Donating only items that meet these guidelines helps volunteers use their time efficiently and allows more Thrift Shop proceeds to support our programs and services.
Donation Receipts & Questions
Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law, and donation receipts are available upon request.
If you are unsure whether we can accept an item, please call the Chester-Andover Family Center at 802-875-3236 before bringing it to the Thrift Shop.
