The Chester Andover Family Center greatly appreciates the generous donations we receive every week. Our customers trust us to sell clean, gently used clothing and accessories as well as safe household items that are in good/working condition. We pay to dispose of items that do not meet these standards at the expense of our Food Shelf and Financial Assistance Programs. We appreciate your support and understanding. Please contact us at 802-875-3236 with any questions or concerns regarding this policy. Donations are tax-deductible and receipts are available. Donations of clean, gently used clothing and merchandise in good working order are always appreciated. The Chester-Andover Family Center Thrift Shop gladly accepts the following donations.
Clothing
We accept donations of clean, gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and accessories - shirts - pants and skirts - dresses - sweaters - coats -new underclothing - shoes - scarves, hats, ties and gloves.
Merchandise
We accept the following merchandise in clean, working condition: all appliances that work - books, DVD’s, and CD’s - toys, games, puzzles - linens, towels, bedspreads - craft materials - jewelry - kitchenware.
We cannot accept clothing that is - ripped or torn - stained - unwashed or moldy.
We cannot accept ski gear - rollerblades - furniture - major appliances - televisions, stereos, speakers, any playback components (CD, DVD, VHS, Blue Ray) - computers, phones, printers - power equipment - portable heaters - electric blankets & heating pads -A/C, De-humidify and humidify units.
